Ghosla
Ghosla × Riya Kumari
An illustration about the part that comes after finding a flat: moving in.
Ghosla is a tenant-to-tenant rental app: people moving out list their flat, and the next tenant rents it from them directly, without a broker. Ghosla means nest in Hindi, and our logo is a bird. Finding the flat is only half of it, so we wanted a piece about the other half.
A tree at night, full of pink and yellow birdhouses. Birds are moving in: one sits in a doorway, an owl looks out of a hollow in the trunk, others are still flying in. A ladder runs up the trunk, keys and keyholes float in the air, and a nest of eggs sits on a high branch.
Riya Kumari is a visual communication designer, born and raised in Mumbai. She graduated from NIFT Patna in 2021 and has worked as an illustrator since, mostly on visual storytelling.
